USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage (2016)

English A bit different and a bit cheap war movie, featuring actors who haven't had a problem taking on roles in B-movies in recent years. These include Tom Sizemore or James Remar, as well as Nicolas Cage. Thanks to them, I enjoyed and had fun watching this film. The scenes with sharks in the water were the best.

Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow (1963)

English A film where Sophia Loren excels with Marcello Mastroianni giving her the nod to excel. She's beautiful and she's gorgeous, but most of all she's a great actress who handles every role differently, and you don't feel like you're watching the same character. Because you're not. Three entertaining short stories that are also clever.

The Lesson (2014)

English The Bulgarians, along with the Greeks in co-production, show us that they are capable of making a film that is quite clever, yet civil. I honestly thought it would be even more intense overall, that it would be even more interesting, but in the end it's still a film with a very good idea that is well made.

The Tall Blond Man with One Black Shoe (1972)

English Pierre Richard shows off his comedic skills here, even in the sense that he is not unnecessarily theatrical, although he does come off a little awkward at times. But it's never over the top, it's always with flair, and the film entertains for that reason. The screenwriting is also so beautifully hokey that you can’t help but like the film and be entertained.

Sharknado 5: Global Swarming (2017) (TV movie)

English Those watching Sharknado 5: Global Swarming probably found the film by accident or because they loved the series. There aren't many other options, because if you didn't like the first one, you probably weren't going to watch the rest. I've loved the series and will be eagerly awaiting the sixth installment, which I'm sure will also be beautifully insane and hopefully feature the return of all the characters I've come to love.

Two in the Wave (2010)

English If you're interested in the French film wave, you'll definitely find something in Two in the Wave that will surprise you, that will delight you, and that will provide you with some new information. However, it's mostly about the two creators and what they brought to the world. This can be appreciated even by those who don't really love both creators, among whom I also count myself.

Ice Mother (2017)

English In the past I would not have enjoyed Bohdan Sláma's films, but lately I find that I quite like his view of man and the world. Zuzana Krónerová is interesting in the film, but overall the actors take care to portray the absurdity of human behavior and especially family relationships. The film’s a pretty good mirror of what assholes we are sometimes.

Underworld (1927)

English On the one hand I was pleased with how well-acted the film is, on the other it's unfortunate that it can still be too theatrical in tense scenes. George Bancroft in particular overacts unnecessarily in places, but that still doesn't change the fact that the film is very powerful and surprisingly quite violent for its time, which the finale in particular shows.

Whitney: Can I Be Me (2017)

English This is a pretty honest documentary that doesn't shy away from adoring the singer, but it's equally good at showing her weaknesses and the fact that she was basically heading towards something tragic for a long time, as if she had no choice, as if she couldn't choose the right thing that could still save her before the end.

Voyage of Time: Life's Journey (2016)

English I feel like this is one of the most accessible Terrence Malick films I've seen from him in a while. Yes, it's basically a documentary poem, but it's through the visuals that Terrence Malick shows just how capable a filmmaker he is. He doesn't show us anything new, but his compositions are beautiful in places.
