Party Bus to Hell (2017)

English The horror Party Bus to Hell is a pretty good B-movie. It doesn't try to play at being anything and is all about having some perversions to affect viewers looking for something of the sort, be it nudity or some violence that is almost close to ultra-violence. Party Bus to Hell offers this. It's not in downright great form, but it's not something that will offend you either.

The Abominable Snowman (1957)

English I'm not going to claim that the British B-movie sci-fi horror film The Abominable Snowman is downright bad, but it lacks truly heated moments. I like that the wait for the yeti is quite long, and the reveal wasn't a disappointment from my perspective. The acting is good enough to survive with the characters even during the slightly less interesting passages, of which there are quite a few.

Blood Is Blood (2016)

English Stuart Sauvarin must have thought, when he wrote the story and when he filmed it, that he had something big in front of him, something that would mess with the viewer's head quite well. And yeah, that's exactly what he did, he messed with the viewer's head, but somehow he didn't realize that he should do it with the viewer feeling good about it. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. Nothing like that happened. Blood Is Blood is in fact a disappointment.

Book of Fire (2015)

English Carmen Electra has a role in the American action-horror film Book of Fire, but if you happen to like her, there's no reason to watch this film just to see her. There are other elements in the film that will get you excited. There is a fair amount of boredom and the fact that it's a bit of a dud, but the special effects aren't downright bad and you can see that it doesn't take itself too seriously, which is what a good B-movie needs.

Painless (2012)

English The film Painless may bore some people. Some will be thrilled by how unpleasant it is, how it can dig into your spine like the claws of a beast. That's what I liked about the film, because there are scenes that you simply don't see anywhere else, and they're scenes that you'll remember. Not every film can do this, and this is also unfortunately true in the horror genre. Painless is a pleasant exception.

Stranger in Our House (1978) (TV movie)

English Summer of Fear left me with a very good feeling about what I was watching. I'm not saying it's a horror film that will amaze you, but there's a very good build-up that surprisingly didn't need too many special effects sequences. Sure, blowing up the car in mid-air before impact isn't quite right, but that's forgivable. This is about actresses, who I really liked.

Horror and Hamsters (2018)

English Horror and Hamsters is a film that is interesting simply because of how strange it is, how it is its own thing, and how it is plain weird. There's nothing more to look for in it, the horror is really scarce and it won't excite you much. However, if you want something bizarre, Horror and Hamsters is exactly what you’re after. It's very long, but it's so specific that it can be interesting.

The Haunted House on Kirby Road (2016)

English The Canadian horror film The Haunted House on Kirby Road simply follows a tried and tested template, which has proven to be boring and uninteresting over the past years and has nothing in it to engage the audience. It's contemporaneous and it's expected, even in its awkward horror ending. Nevertheless, The Haunted House on Kirby Road is a film that manages not to offend. Maybe...

Night of the Wild (2015) (TV movie)

English The American film Night of the Wild is a light horror film that neither offends nor delights. The only thing that can really be highlighted here is the work with the dogs, which is not bad at all in places. The assault scenes actually look quite realistic, which is definitely a positive for the film, as well as the fact that there are no digital dogs. Unfortunately, there really isn't much more positive about this film.

Muse (2017)

English In my opinion, Jaume Balagueró didn't manage the horror build-up, because he tried to make a mysterious film, but he overcomplicated the plot a bit in the hope to surprise or shock the viewer. He didn't quite manage to do that, but it has to be said that the film has a very good atmosphere in places, and there are scenes here and there that are really worth watching. As a whole, though, it's not above average.
