In 20XX, Maria, a robot, came to Ueno's house while he was still a child. Programmed to take care of him, Maria was given to him by his parents. After his parents pass away, Ueno experiments with Maria by attempting to program her for sexual functions. This is absolutely a brilliant example of how crazy the Japanese can be. They present you with a film that has elements of an erotic and even perverse movie (it's not far from being a porn in some parts), they also add a detective plot, a story about aging, but most importantly, they wrap it all up in a quite dramatic package, addressing the question of human sexuality. And all of this with robots, or rather robot maids in sexy outfits. Here, once again, so many different genres and elements are combined that you will be amazed by what can be created.
