The Adventures of Tintin (2011)

English Tintin walked around me in my youth, not that he didn't, but I preferred Pif, to tell you the truth. Anyway, Tintin was still a symbol and it was expected that someone would soon start filming it. But honestly, I'll admit without any hesitation that even though Steven Spielberg took on the direction, the result is an average movie where everything is nice, but incredibly unremarkable. Not funny enough, not sympathetic enough, and certainly not adventurous enough. In other words, everything I would have wished for from a movie in this form. This animated film simply didn't make any impression on me at all, unlike other movies that no one expects anything from and are very pleasantly surprised.

Immortals (2011)

English Tarsem Singh is a great storyteller of his fantastic world. After a long time, I have the honor to watch a director who puts a lot of himself into his films, and every time, at least their visual side can easily captivate me. However, I was disappointed that in War of the Gods, which had brilliant scenery, the story itself did not interest me. It was incredibly confusing and it was impossible to connect with the actors in any way, to get used to them and to be able to go with them towards the end of the movie. It was a pity because the visual side was absolutely perfect. I haven't seen anything like that in a long time.

The Professional (1981)

English What happens when you screw Jean Paul Belmondo? You will be captivated by his own gaze at the moment when you least expect it. What happens when Ennio Morricone plays one of his chillingly brilliant compositions? It will fill you with such tension that even the deli slicer in the store around the corner would jam at that speed. What happens when you surround Belmondo with a nice French girl? He will seduce her. Both in the film and in reality. And what happens when you watch most of the French crime films of the 80s? It simply blows you away with its story. So there's no point in commenting on this film any further, because such a film truly is not born every day.

You Again (2010)

English Kristen Bell is the only one worth seeing in this movie. There she is again! is the exact prototype of a movie that shouldn't be made. Not funny, uninteresting, mediocre, but with a few scenes that are somewhat amusing. By the way, Dwayne Johnson as The Rock was great in that minute-long scene.

Hachiko: A Dog's Story (2009)

English I give five stars for one simple reason. I know what it means love between an animal and a human. And the director has shown this love in an absolutely beautiful, natural, human form, which such a story needs like salt.

Every Day (2010)

English Maybe it would be a good story if it was told completely differently than it actually was. Anyway, it's not an easy topic. Marriage in crisis and the discovery that their son is gay is really not an easy story to process, and here I was twice as sorry, because Liev Schreiber and Helen Hunt are actors that I really like to see in the movie.

Raiponce (2010)

English Clearly and resolutely. Here I can't go below five. I haven't seen a cartoon fairy tale like this for a long time, from which more optimism, fairy-tale atmosphere, joy of the story, and beauty flow, which will be appreciated not only by a child but also by a person who loves fairy tales. Moreover, this fairy tale is also entertaining and incredibly likable from all sides, which everyone can find in this film.

Main Street (2010) Boo!

English I would be really interested to know how those actors imagine it. Probably like Hurvínek during the war. When you see names like Firth, Bloom or Ellen Burstyn, you imagine a film that must have something in it that attracted those giants. But big mistake. Main Street is absolutely about nothing. I admit that I couldn't bear to finish it.

Clubbed (2008)

English You have been a loser in the past and realized over time that your previous life made no sense and you will have to change it? Then you will definitely like this movie. I liked it a lot. The bouncers had style, an excellent story, and each character carried a personal life burden that we all have. It was real, interesting, and didn't let me relax, and it certainly didn't let me study math, which I imagined during watching this movie. A very good movie, including the actors themselves, whom I don't know much, but after this movie, I will notice them again and gladly.
