Necrotongue

Oh, hooray! Finally, another really well-made episode. The whole episode focused on past events, but it was done in an extremely entertaining way. Moreover, the creators managed to fill in a lot of empty spaces and I also learned things that I hadn't even considered too much. For example, where the name of the main heroine's detective agency came from.

After the first episode of the sixth season, which I found very entertaining, the series returned with the second episode that was more average. The plot essentially returned to the same tracks that the entire previous season moved in, so Penhale once again tried to be embarrassingly funny, the doctor and Louisa slightly annoyed me again, and Morwenna, who I really enjoy, had little space again.

Even the sixth episode didn't abound in action, excitement, or a frantic pace, but luckily it made me laugh with the character Trish. On the other hand, scenes with Jeri really annoy me, and I secretly hope her illness speeds up. Well, considering my luck, I'm clear that's not going to happen. However, the conclusion was like something out of Star Wars :)

The pace that the story gained in the previous episode quickly dissipated and took away the action, suspense, and hints of a quality atmosphere. The whole plot was somewhat sluggish this time, only enlivened by Trish's conversation with Dorothy and the final scene in the aquarium, which the creators really succeeded in.

Finally, in the second season, I was able to join the full firepower. From all the different events, a specific opponent crystallized and things immediately started moving. The episode was not stingy on action scenes, there was also well-built tension and everything was crowned with a great conclusion.

The third episode was not bad at all, but I just can't give it five stars, there's something missing compared to the first season. I think I even know what it is. I'm missing a specific main villain here, in the previous season it was Kilgrave who drove the plot, now they're investigating a mysterious organization and a villain just doesn't trip you up. Anyway, I was pleased to see Franklin "Foggy" Nelson, even though he only had a brief appearance.

There has been some improvement compared to the previous episode, the story gave me a more cohesive impression this time, only the scenes with Jeri dragged on like a week before payday/pension. Nevertheless, the second season is weaker so far, the creators still haven't managed to create the right atmosphere or tension.

The first episode of the sixth season initially scared me when I found out that it was already heading towards a second attempt, but then I started to have a great time. So many different obstacles were not even possible to be put together by the famous Mr. Murphy. Morwenna was great again, despite the lack of space, and unexpectedly, the aunt was getting to me.

I take into account that it was the first episode of the second season, a new story is just starting, but I really enjoyed the pilot of the first season, while here I felt rather disappointed. The whole thing didn't have the same excitement, the plot jumped from place to place, like a caffeinated flea, it opened up multiple potential storylines, but none of them actually started. Originally, I wanted to rate it three stars, but because of the nice relationship with the first series, I'm adding a minus to give it 4 stars.

I like strong female heroines, and Jessica Jones's quirky attitude makes her even more likeable. Plus, even though I'm not an alcoholic, I do appreciate when someone drinks bourbon like water:-) I had a great time all the way through. I wasn't bored even for a second, it had a great atmosphere, escalating suspense, and well-managed action scenes. I liked the humor and the characters of Luke Cage and Claire Temple and their part in the story. I have no complaints whatsoever about the first season, so five stars it is.
