Lately, I've discovered that South Korea produces movies and shows that I really enjoy, so I was excited to give Korean stand-up a try. Unfortunately, it wasn't quite my cup of tea. Park Na-rae is charismatic and confident, and judging by the audience's reactions, she was definitely funny. However, most of the jokes didn't land for me, probably because I'm not Korean and the humor didn't resonate with me as it did with the live audience. / Lesson learned: Some cultural boundaries are just harder to cross.
