On the 3rd of February 2019, Pope Francis, head of the Catholic Church and sovereign of the Vatican City State, will mark his first visit to the Gulf since elected. Abu Dhabi, capital of the UAE and home to around 200 different nationalities, will be welcoming Pope Francis during his visit. His 3-day tour will culminate in a Papal Mass at Zayed Sports City attended by over 120,000 people. National Geographic Abu Dhabi will set its cameras around the capital to cover this unique event and follow the Pope during his visit. A 22 minute film will be produced to talk about the importance, meaning and value of such a visit. The whole city awaits this special event, as it will be marked by history for the UAE and the entire region. (National Geographic)
