The life and works of Franco Scaldati, who passed away in 2013 and who was a key figure in Europe in the latter half of the twentieth century. His work shows a unique representation of a marginal humanity, unknown and in essence, vanished. His journey was synonymous with radicality and hard work, aiming to convey an idea of theatre which was distant from traditional frameworks. His was a powerful voice, against the hypocrisy of "power", asserting that: "All in all, I wish to be the critical conscience of Italian theatre, I wish to be the thorn in the flesh, but I know that others do not care and do not consider me as such [...] A theatre which conveys poetry, violent poetry, which implicitly demands a more united conduct between humans, without looking in the mirror and without being satisfied with oneself in the way that all Italian theatre today seems to do."
