The Reality Behind What We See: The Poet, Yoshimasu Gozo, in Kyoto

At age 77, Japanese poet Gozo Yoshimasu was shocked into silence after witnessing the effects of the massive earthquake and tsunami of 2011. This was a turning point which led him to create yet another avant-garde type of poetry that integrates other art forms. The poet’s gradual healing took place as he carried out this activity, aided by the abundant, pure groundwater of Kyoto. (Montreal World Film Festival)
