Who needs tights, a mask, and CGI? Meet the super voter! Super voters never miss an election, and the politicians running know who they are and never miss a chance to court their favor. In this case, it’s a group of 7500 older residents of Wynmoor Village, a South Florida retirement community that’s part of the most important blue county in our giant purple state. This film focuses on personal and political relationships, including the bond between two 90-something sisters and their activism in the midterm election cycle of 2014, which included the race between incumbent Republican Rick Scott and ex-Republican-turned-Democrat Charlie Crist. Many of these elderly residents who live on fixed incomes, including Medicare, worry about the future of such social programs and of life for the middle class. Retired but tireless, they spend what should be their leisure years working on behalf of their fellow Floridians. (Florida Film Festival)
