Keyla

Keyla lives with her father on Providence Island, in the Colombian Caribbean Sea, a land of pirates. On her 18th birthday she is waiting to celebrate with him, but he never arrives. He went out to sea but did not return. A search yields nothing. Her father's ex-wife with her son Francisco, Keyla's younger half-brother, arrive on the island from Spain. The siblings had not met before. Now, besides memories of their father, they share a mysterious map from Morgan the famous pirate, indicating the location of a hidden treasure. Together they embark on a trip during which they will find more than one treasure. A tale about rebuilding family relationships, strength drawn from one's roots, and separating a romantic vision of the world from reality. (Warsaw Film Festival)
