In 1869, a french adventurer established a kingdom in an indepent region in south Chile, uniting the Mapuche people. The chilean army's reaction is devastating. That is just one bit of the true story. Maybe he was a french spy? An exiled? A vanishing myth? In Rey, the tension between history and memory is materialized in the detereoration of sounds and images. Rey is an odyssey in a land of dreams and fantasy. (Interior XIII)
