In a small village in the Black Forest, Peter and Lisbeth are in love. But things aren't so simple. Lisbeth's father is a rich glassworker, while Peter is a poor miner. To become respectably rich, Peter bargains with Michel the Hollander, who turns Peter's heart into stone. Now ruthless, Peter races toward money and power. (Busan International Film Festival)
