Plots(1)
The victorious Wessex/Viking forces return to Wessex but there is rancour in the Viking camp--Floki is angry over the alliance with Ecbert and resentful the influence that he feels Athelstan has over Ragnar. Princess Kwenthrith makes some calculating political moves following the battle at the Hill of the Ash in Mercia. Visitors from the past arrive in Hederby, at Kalf's invitation. (History Channel)

Admittedly a bit too chatty and unnecessarily meandering, but key figures are moving and there's no shortage of surprises. ()
The main positive of the fourth episode was Harbard's departure from Kattegat, I assume he was a Norse Rasputin. I was not particularly impressed by the scene at the lake or the revelation that Ragnar's son Ivar, unlike Floki's daughter Angrboda, does not age. Princess Kwenthrith (disinfection, poison) managed to amuse me once again. ()
