A strange picture that fictionalizes the early years of famed pscyhoanalyst Sigmund Freud, here portrayed by Bud Cort. The jokes come mainly from the development of his ideas about the human psyche, presented by Dick Shawn as "the ultimate patient." There's even some romance tossed in--Cort has an affair with a lisping nurse, Carol Kane; Freud's mother, Carroll Baker, carries on with demented doctor Klaus Kinski. (official distributor synopsis)
