An interesting film that could stand to be better known. If it weren't for the characters of Simona Stašová and Eduard Cupák (they are completely useless and mostly boring), I would probably add a fourth star. Apart from the great actors (Větrovec, Lackovič, Sklenčka, Hanzlík), The Cape of Good Hope offers above all bombastic music by Jiří Šust, which sounds like Jerry Goldsmith's (really!), and the scenes with the tanks, the arrival at the floodgate or the raid on the boilermaker. The propaganda is minimal and film goes by quick. ()
