I can’t say I’m surprised this movie was written by Adam Sandler. What never ceases to amaze me is what it is in Adam’s brain that allows him to write such a crazy story, which actually unravels from the first scene, which is simply brutal. I was really staring with my mouth open at what kind of movies can be made today, but on the other hand I have to say that I laughed from the heart for very long stretches of time. At least until the comedy ran out of breath and turned into a typical romance. That’s why I only give the movie a three-star review. If it had the grit and balls at the end that it did in the beginning, I probably would not have hesitated. ()
