Rák Tamás, a young teacher, after the farewell party on the eve of his marriage, saves a young and lonely woman, Teri, from committing suicide. As she has nowhere to go, he takes her home with him, and gives her money to go to see her aunt. The next day he boards the train to Venice with his wife. On board he meets Teri, who got on the same train by mistake, an even lost her ticket. At the next station Tamás gets off to buy her a ticket, but misses the train. His abandoned, angry wife introduces Bánáth Dénes, one of her fellow-passengers, to her relatives in Venice. Later Tamás arrives with Erna. After many misunderstandings, Teri and Dénes unite in love, and the marriage of Tamás and his wife is happily resumed. (official distributor synopsis)
