Rounding out this deep focus on all things cute is a contemporary allegory for the seven deadly sins, and a satire of the seedy machinations of media and power. Again Maclean is looking to extreme contrasts: young and old, poor and rich, clean and dirty, innocent and corrupt. Though made in 2015, the film feels prescient, especially articulated through the figure of a posh-spoken English gentleman-cum-paedophile. (International Film Festival Rotterdam)
