We hear in the film, “That, my friends, is China”. No, friends, it is not. 50% ()
The fact that a Dane plays the main role of a Chinese person is something you just have to accept; that's Hollywood. But if you can overlook that, you have a pretty good film to look forward to, which can captivate you not only with its dream sequence, which is nicely crafted, but also at times with its action and understanding of the theme. Otherwise, it's a fairly strong story that may not impress today's audience much but still has a depth that modern romances lack. ()
