Nathilde Overrein Rapp

Nathilde Overrein Rapp studied acting at Instituto Di Arte Scenica in Italy (1988), Fine Arts at Manchester Polytechnic in England (1989), Documentary Film at Volda University College in Norway (1993) and Film Directing at PWSFTViT, The National Polish Film School in Lodz, Poland from 1990 to 1996.

Her freshman film Wasteland won a prize at Arnhem Film Festival, Holland, while her diploma film Tidewater won the Golden Chair-award at the short film festival in Grimstad, Norway, in addition to several other awards. She has directed several short films, and in 1997 she directed one of three short films comprising the portentportmanteau feature film 1998: Thirst - Crimes of the Future. In 1998 she participated in Norsk Film’s Hamsun project with the short film Amertume, screened at the Venice Film Festival in 1999, and in 2001 she made her feature film debut with the coming-of-age drama Lime.

Overrein Rapp lives and works in London.
