Biography

He had his first exposure to cinema in 1978, when he collaborated with Fernando Colomo in the film What’s a Girl Like You Doing in a Place Like This?. In 1979 he began his career on television, where he worked as a writer, scriptwriter and director of TV shows. In 2000 he produced the short film El sueño de la maestra, directed by Luis García Berlanga. After writing and directing several documentaries for television, he wrote and produced Por la gracia de Luis, a tribute to Berlanga directed by José Luis García Sánchez. In 2015, he wrote and produced Fernando Colomo’s Noches de rock and roll, and in 2020 the documentary La Movida 80-20. In 2018 he received the Television Academy’s Talent Award (2018).
