Lúcia Murat (1949, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) was member of the Brazilian leftist ""guerrilha"" in the hardest times of military dictatorship in Brazil (1968-1979). She was arrested and tortured in prison, and this experience is highly influential in all of her work.
