Biography (1)
Born and educated in Budapest, where he remained until the beginning of World War I. He worked as a bacteriologist for the Rockefeller Institute. After completing his military service, he made several films and immigrated to the United States. In 1928, he abandoned the natural sciences and filmed his first experimental feature The Last Moment.
