Biography
Mira Nair was born in Rourkela, India, and now lives in New York. She studied at Delhi University and Harvard University. Her feature films include the Academy Award–nominated Salaam Bombay! (1988), Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love (1996), the Venice Golden Lion winner Monsoon Wedding (2001), The Namesake (2006), The Reluctant Fundamentalist (2012), Queen of Katwe (2016) and A Suitable Boy (2020).
