Ryszard Bugajski

Ryszard Bugajski (1943) is a screenwriter and director. He studied philosophy at the University of Warsaw and film directing at film school in Lodz. He made his debut with the drama A Woman and a Woman (Kobieta I kobieta, 1979). Upon immigrating to Canada he made the award-winning film Interrogation (Przesluchanie, 1982). After returning to Poland he made, e.g. Players (Gracze, 1995), Like Father Like Son (W kogo ja sie wrodziłem, 2001), Yes or No? (Tak czy nie?, 2003), and The Death of Captain Pilecki (Smierc rotmistrza Pileckiego, 2006).
