Carmen Jaquier studied at the Applied Art School of Geneva and in the Cinema section of the ECAL in Lausanne. She has directed the short films Bouffe moi! (2004), Ça ne veut pas dire que je ne t’aime pas (2004), Le tombeau des filles (2010), Le bal des sirènes (2011), La rivière sous la langue (2015), and Za nase zvijezde (2016, co-directed with Nagi Gianni). In 2013 she participated in the anthology film Heimatland, which competed in Locarno. Foudre, her debut feature film, was presented at the Zurich Festival.
