Ordinary Failures is a beautifully written relationship drama, sensitively shot by a sure hand, very well acted by the main female protagonists and reaching into the realms of genre-tinged cinema, something rare in Czechia. For me the strongest emotional experience of this year's Pilsen Film Festival. ()
I would really like to give this a higher score, but I simply can’t. The topic is lucrative and original and you don't see something like this from Czech productions. Unfortunately, the story and the characters are utterly superficial and one-dimensional and it lacks depth and integrity. On the other hand, the acting trio is intriguing: it's just a shame they didn’t they didn't take advantage of their marvelous chemistry. Overall, however, I rate this positively and it certainly is worth watching. I also must sing the praises of the impressive original visuals and the music. ()
