Granblue Fantasy The Animation is a beautiful example of a mediocre anime series, which is not bad, even though it is quite predictable. The animation and soundtrack are decent; the characters are quite likable (although IO took a lot of getting used to). Everything is just kind of OK, except for the fact that it never gets you excited or makes you intrigued or enchanted - well, I was not. It is basically a decent but completely ordinary advertisement for the role-playing video game, although it fails to deliver any interesting narrative. It is simply a show about a standard journey from one adventure to another, with new characters introduced each time. In other words, the concept is familiar from a lot of video games, which, again, is nothing new for a person in the know. Moreover, in the last episode, we are told that girls can also play this game (who would have expected that?) 5/10. ()
