Before Phranc starting giving Tupperware parties, she scoured the underground music scene as an icon of the punk and lesbian movement. Today, she has assumed a new image as a seller of domestic happiness – one of the frumpiest jobs a woman can have. But Phranc does not renounce her past: the way she demonstrates the handy plastic boxes is hilarious, and the songs she sings at the parties are still beautiful. Owing to this combination of camp and sincere passion, Phranc has managed to successfully penetrate this bulwark of bored women. She pays a visit to the Tupperware Museum and attends Tupperware meetings in Las Vegas and jubilees in Orlando, where some people think she is a man. In spite of these prejudices, Phranc clearly enjoys herself, and she will never scoff at her new metier. (International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam)
