English It’s good that Prince didn’t overdo it with movies and stuck with music. The song Purple Rain is good, but the eponymous movie is a total crazy trip. More than a film it looks like a mix of shots from his concerts, which alone wouldn’t be so bad. But the plot is some hardcore wackiness, which must have been a joke; I can’t imagine the creators were serious about this. Prince with his mustache and bike didn’t look exactly like the toughest guy under the Sun. He, however, succeeded in bewitching me with the love of his life. And I don’t mean Apollonia but music. ()

English The film is basically about nothing and there's not much point in dwelling on the story because there's not much going on. There’s nothing that is truly unique. The plot is quite simple. But that film has Prince, both in terms of acting and musically. If one just listened to the film, one would have a much better experience. The music is great. ()
