Gloria is a Spanish prostitute who witnesses the murder of two policemen by two gangsters in a drug dealing operation in Mexico City. Before dying, one of the policemen gives her a diary with valuable information on the gang. Gloria is deported to Spain, where she stays in her mother-in-law's house. She spends her time looking for a job and visiting her husband, a bullfighter who is in a coma because he was caught by a bull.
