After thirty years Gál, the millionaire returns from the America with his daughter, Dorothy. On her way she takes a liking for the Almády Castle. She would want her father to buy it, but the owner Bakonyi Péter, ex-actor says it is not for sale. However, he welcomes them as guests with his wife, Countess Júlia. The countess would like Dorothy to marry her son from her first marriage, Almády Laci. But the young man enjoys Erzsi's, the actress's company more and sends his driver to substitute for him. Bakonyi and the countess fight for the original plan, but finally the lovers' wish prevails: Dudva, the driver marries Dorothy and László marries Erzsi. (official distributor synopsis)
