Plots(1)
Johan and Marianne, divorced lawyer and scientist respectively, have had a seemingly harmonious upper middle-class marriage for 10 years. But basic conflicts arise. It turns out that they have been living in emotional ignorance of themselves and each other. What is now underway is a process of inner liberation. Although Johan is the first to make the break, Marianne is perhaps the one who gains most from the rift, and the film develops into what is primarily a depiction of one woman´s liberation.
