Paris end of 1941. History pins a yellow star over the hearts of two little Jewish boys, Joseph and Maurice Joffo, 10 and 12. They escape to the Unoccupied Zone towards Menton, each with 5000 francs in their pockets (about 4.70 dollars today). Left to their own devices, they wander about in a wilderness of uniforms, railways, guns and prisonwalls. (official distributor synopsis)
