The Blackouts is an essay that tells the story of a family moving from Finland to Poland in search of their roots. Living in Warsaw, they face the hustle and bustle of a city scorched by its tragic past. In this documentary, we see their broken memories. A child losing her culture since moving to another country. A family with lost Jewish traditions between generations. A city demolished in the Second World War. They all miss something. There is a hole in their memory. (Tampere Film Festival)
