A mutant strain of werewolves has survived as an Australian genus evolved from the now-extinct marsupial wolf. The sociologist who is studying the species falls in love with one of the females. This is really not a serious film. It doesn't take itself too seriously and might even want to have some fun. But it only succeeds halfway and is more entertaining in the sense that it's terrible trash. On the other hand, the special effects are absolutely awesome and I enjoyed the film a lot in that respect. The series shows that we can expect anything from any film. And therein lies the greatest beauty - at least for now - of the Howling series.
