The Padre is a con man on the run from his dogged pursuers, U.S. Court Justice Nemes and local police chief Gaspa. When the Padre flees in a stolen car, he is surprised to find a precocious 16-year old, Lena, hiding in the back seat. After she blackmails him into letting her accompany him, the duo plan their biggest heist, unaware of the risks of working together and of the law closing in on them. (Montreal World Film Festival)
