Some Americans had success when they told some sort of dark tale from Africa – because those are dime-a-dozen there. So I’m not at all surprised that the Spanish Netflix, as the largest European Netflix, subsidiary, picked up a similar piece for its film library. Although the female characters quite puzzled me in places, and sometimes I wondered why they behaved the way they did, in terms of filmmaking, there are moments that show real fear and horror, which we can’t even imagine in today’s developed modern Europe.
