What Ang Lee excelled at with Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon wasn't something entirely new, but rather a rediscovery and refinement to visual perfection of what King Hu introduced back in the 1960s. An excellent action spectacle with surprisingly great moments and very good fight scenes, even for their time. For action movie enthusiasts, it's a beautiful demonstration that it was possible even 50 years ago.
