A perfect anime load that will captivate anyone regardless of age. At first I was slightly bothered by the frequent songs, I don't really like musicals, but the songs sung by Moana had the power of Adele and were emotionally gripping. I've even been listening to Dwayne Johnson's song since opening night, who knew the guy could sing too. The animation is amazing, slightly unusual but perfectly detailed and impressive. The characters are also very good. Moana is a cool babe with big eyes and Maui is a proper stubborn demi-god, and their relationship was very entertaining since there was no love or romance involved at all. The chicken is the fun part, it will simply entertain everyone. As far as the action and the creatures are concerned, there is nothing to complain about, there’s the right music and there is no shortage of goosebumps. I have watched Walt Disney’s Pacific Moana right after Pixar’s Coco. I don’t want to create an impression that Moana was way worse by this review, but Coco’s story, surroundings and songs were simply closer to my heart. In my opinion it’s not exactly that kind of the fairytale which an adult could watch without falling into an intellectual coma. Moana surprised me in several ways. Apart from the beautiful animation, it has a great story that will entertain even older viewers just fine. This despite the fact that the whole film is largely based on just two characters and a rooster, which served here more as a funny insert. It must be said, however, that the two main characters could have been entertaining even without him. Equally amazing are the songs, whose lyrics fit the plot so beautifully.
