Jennifer is an Australian girl on the run from her past who washes up in Amsterdam. In a desperate attempt to stay one step ahead of the authorities, she joins a coach-load of tourists embarking on a tour of Holland s world famous windmills. When the bus breaks down in the middle of nowhere, she and the other tourists are forced to seek shelter in a disused shed beside a sinister windmill where, legend has it, a Devil-worshipping miller once ground the bones of locals instead of grain. As members of the group start to disappear, Jennifer learns that they all have something in common a shared secret that seems to mark them all for doom. (Kaleidoscope Film Distribution)

English The Windmill Massacre features 90% of the elements that every slasher film should have, which is very rare to see these days. To the layman a slasher means a massacre of stupid students in the woods, those in the know can watch the film and see how it nicely sticks to clearly stated rules. We have an original setting (a windmill) that adds to the atmosphere, a killer associated with a legend and a hefty scythe, a bunch of random people who over time find out they're not there by accident, decent gore and imaginative murders, one unexpected twist and a teaser for a sequel. I think perhaps the only thing missing here was bare titties, but there were no "means" to that end. I found the pacing a little slow, but otherwise this is a very accomplished addition to the genre that could mean to future horror fans in 20 years what Jason or Michael Myers mean to us. Story 6/10, Atmosphere 7/10, Gore 7/10, Visuals 7/10, Action 7/10, Suspense 7/10, Humour 4/10. Entertainment 7/10, Scares 0/10. 75%. ()
