It's supposed to be a paradise holiday; a group of five young friends travel to Panama for the vacation of a lifetime. While partying, they meet Carmen, a beautiful native, with stories about a stunning waterfall deep in the jungle. Other locals caution them against the journey, warning them that those who have set out in search of the waterfall have mysteriously disappeared. Ignoring the warnings the group set off to find the hidden oasis. What begins as a fun outing quickly turns terrifying when their guide mysteriously vanishes. As night closes in, the friends realise that they're being stalked by a ravenous creature. As they try to escape, it becomes clear that the legend of the Chupacabra has some truth to it after all. English I'm fed up with found footage films, and I probably can't watch them objectively anymore. Although Indigenous isn’t completely terrible, for me, it's just another film shot in a style that no longer has anything to offer to the horror genre. Or am I wrong? Indigenous isn't exactly proof that it still makes sense to make similar films. ()
