I ultimately really liked this movie. That point isn't bad at all, Cage's character is well-written and well-acted, and overall, even though it appears quite conventional, it's underscored by an interesting plot that doesn't have such a simple resolution, which is also pleasantly symbolic. A run-of-the-mill action flick/revenge journey that I quite enjoyed. ()
Solid B-movie! Tokarev feels like a classic revenge flick in the style of Taken, but it surprises with a very unexpected and awesome twist. Nicolas Cage is cool here, finally getting a proper role after a long time. The action is very decent and looks badass too. Cage and his cronies vs the Russian mafia take out maybe two whole buildings with shotguns, some slow motion and a great soundtrack. Cool 65% ()
