Shame the Devil cannot be seen as a complete misstep. Despite the likely limited resources available to the crew, the film turned out quite well. There are scenes and ideas here that a much more seasoned creator wouldn't be ashamed of. For someone like Paul Tanter, who has primarily focused on films about hooligans, this is a step in the right direction. However, it's still a step that didn't turn out absolutely perfect.
