17-years old Sami is taken to a mental hospital. The boy doesn't talk or show his feelings. Sami's mother does not accept that her son was involuntarily taken from her. Sami would certainly be much better at home. Sami's new roommate Rudolf would prefer staying at the hospital for good. A strange relationship develops between the two boys. A dedicated nurse, Taneli takes effort to reach Sami and find out what has caused his illness. Homesick is a film about vulnerability, care and hope. (Making Movies)
