The Edge of Heaven

THE EDGE OF HEAVEN (AUF DER ANDEREN SEITE) explores the relationship between a father and son, as well as the contentious issues of immigration and bureaucracy. Nejet isn't pleased with his father's new girlfriend, a prostitute named Yeter, until he discovers that Yeter is actually a stand-up single parent with a good heart. But, when Yeter suddenly passes away, she leaves in her wake a great divide between Nejet and his father. In a desperate attempt to fill the void, Nejet travels to Germany in search of Yeter's political activist daughter, only to quickly become embroiled in her life. (official distributor synopsis)
