Six year old Susan has doubts about childhood's most enduring miracle Santa Claus. Miracle on 34th Street is a sweet, light-hearted, likeable and simple story about a man who is the physical representation of the intangible symbol of Christmas, Santa Claus himself. On the whole, it's an average film with a slightly hammy cast and a simple script. Little Mara Wilson is cute and Richard Attenborough is charismatic. In short, a film that undoubtedly belongs to the holidays of peace and quiet, but it is nothing special or memorable.
