Ó Ida, a young girl, is dismissed from a cloister for having assumed responsibility for a love letter actually written by one of her companions. She must return to the town of Eger, where his father is just in the process of entertaining a theatrical company. She is astounded by the wild revelry. Her father wishes to have his motherless daughter married. He puts in an advertisement in a newspaper to that effect, and in due turn a young man, Balogh János appears, wishing to settle their family problems and the future of his younger sister with Ida's attractive dowry. They get married and move to Budapest, where their fictitious marriage is soon made real by mutual love. (official distributor synopsis)
