Once upon a time will n'ever be the same again. Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel, and Jack from the Beanstalk are all about to live happily ever after when the balance between good and evil gets thrown out of whack. It's up to Cinderella - aka Ella (Sarah Michelle Gellar) - to save the day by taking on her power-hungry stepmother, Frieda (Sigourney Weaver). But this time, Ella will have to do it without her Prince Charming (Patrick Warburton) as she joins forces with an unlikely army of dwarves, faries, and the Wizard's bumbling assistants, Mambo (Andy Dick) and Munk (Wallace Shawn). English Let's approach fairy tales from a different angle; that'll be fun! Well, that doesn't sound too bad. It's just that I feel like someone already tackled this before this film came out. Wasn't the movie called something like Shrek? Shrek had the advantage of famous voices, great animation, entertaining characters, and an interesting story. Happily N'Ever After only has the famous voices, and not as many of them at that. The animation is incredibly flat and boring, the story is clear from the beginning, and the characters are rather annoying. However, that's not as much of a problem as the dull jokes and their frequent absence. ()
